We have just acquired for exhibition a selection of Sue Brown’s brooches and spoons. Sue is an artist using vitreous enamel and printmaking to tell stories.

Goat Street Gallery are now stocking the superbly crafted furniture made by Ben Hills. Come and have a look, to appreciate the excellent attention to detail and the masterly craftsmanship.

We have two new artists exhibiting in the gallery Chris Neale and Mark Raggett come and have a look. Chris a landscape painter, has an intense relationship with his subject and sees the landscape with a sharp graphic eye.  He focuses on composition and colour. His paintings are an attempt to convey the emotions he feels and to share them. Mark Raggett, VPRWS, was born in Pembrokeshire, the landscape of the county being the main source of inspiration in his work over the years. He studied Fine Art at Reading University where he was strongly influenced by the Cornish painters (Lanyon, Frost, Hilton etc) but Graham Sutherland’s work in translating the essence of the Pembrokeshire countryside has always had a strong fascination for him.

Dan Wright of the Goat Street Gallery will be demonstrating the making of his ceramics at the last Art In Action show, held at Waterperry House near Oxford. He will also be exhibiting his work which is available to purchase. If you have never been to Art in Action it is truly an amazing and unforgetable experience.
