Dan Wright
I produce hand thrown Earthenware tableware covered in white slip and hand drawn transfers screen printed in black enamel. I am inspired by English Slipware and 1950’s Ridgway ceramics particularly the “Homemaker” range. I also have been influenced by the Italian designer Piero Fornasetti. My work relates to either function of the object or the locality of the area. I like to combine traditional and modern techniques in a contemporary way.
